He has a docked or natural bobbed tail. The Austrailian
Shepherd usually weighs from 35 to 70 lbs.
The Australian Shepherd was initially called
by many names, including Spanish Shepherds, Pastor Dogs,
Bob-Tails, Blues, Heelers, New Mexican Shepherds and
California Shepherds.
The Australian Shepherd excels at many dog sports,
especially herding, dog agility, frisbee, and flyball.
They have very strong hips and legs, allowing for fast
acceleration and high jumping, sometimes as high as 4 ft.
