San Antonio Area Hunting Lease 17 miles west out IH10 from SA city limits. We have 347+ acres of beautiful Kendall County in our back yard that we are going to lease to
a management minded group of 4 or 5 bow/gun hunters starting this 2004-2005 hunting season with a chance to continue longterm lease if you prove that you can follow the r
ules and behave. We have 3 lakes (one is stocked with catfish and bass) and the headwaters of a good flowing creek that runs most of the length of the property along with
springs flowing in most of the canyons. The ranch is almost a perfect rectangle with all but a couple of hundred yards of my west fence under low fence. We are bordered
by large ranches except for 200 yards of my east fence. There is a small rock cabin w/electric and water is available. The price is 5,000 due upon signing and 7,000 due b
y Sept 1st We have seen many Exotics, Trophy sized white-tailed bucks, feral hogs and rio grande turkeys over the last couple of years and have only shot freezer doe meat
and several hogs that I've trapped for my family in the last 5 years. Before you call me and tell me I'm out of my gourd for asking for $12,000 for 350 acres let me say
that I could have taken my million and driven 10 hours to East, West or South Texas and bought 10,000 acres but I chose to be able to commute to San Antonio in less than
30 minutes so that I could enjoy my ranch every day by living on it instead of spending a day on the road once a month to look around for one day and drive back the next.
You'll have to look long and hard to find a nicer place to hunt this close to San Antonio, heck during the first part of the season you could shuck your suit, climb into
your cammies and be hunting everyday after work instead of a couple of weekends, thanksgiving and christmas (if your wife or husband is very understanding). If your seri

I manage 3700 acres in Throckmorton County (150 miles/2.5 hours from Arlington).
We only have 14 hunters which averages ~265 ac:hunter. We are looking for two
hunters to fill the lease.
Throckmorton County is known for its big bucks and lots of deer,
turkeys, hogs, and dove. Quail are not hunted on this land so it
will not be leased out to quail hunters. We have a 3 bedroom house
with water, electric, satellite TV, VCR, shower, bunk beds, microwave,
stove, and a refrigerator. We also have about 400 total acres of
winter wheat in 4 different pastures. There are approximately 15
stock tanks with good fishing in most of them. Approximately 1.5 miles
from the Brazos River. The land has been in the same family for over
100 years and the owner will not allow campers or motor homes to
stay parked on the land. Guests are allowed and they shoot from your
tags (1 buck, 2 doe county) and from your stand. The land is about 15
miles from Throckmorton where you will find a motel, restaurants,
grocery store, and gas stations. We border the 18,000 Travis County
school land on our west side, are very close to the 10,000 acre
Upton County school land on our south, and border a 6000 acre private
ranch on our north end.
$1950 per year.
